These Artisan "BB" Cocoon Baskets have come about my aversion to the stiffness of a coffin for loved ones. I talked to a wonderful Artist friend Judy Wolski who is a weaver of magic to make something special. She spent a lot of time thinking about the process and to make it special.
She has put her heart and soul into the preparation of these beautiful organic woven basket cocoons. They are made from organic banana leaves and prepared with love. Judy feels the same about the harshness and bulk of carrying a wooden coffin to the alter of a church and has come up with something that can be hugged and cuddled. Giving the person who is carrying the baby a sense of connection and still feeling a part of their life in those last moments of good bye.
